Google Search Console Adds New Regex Filter Options

Google is adding support for expressions that don’t match the regex to the new regular expression (regex) filter in the Search Console performance report. In addition, Google offers extra regex recommendations for people who are new to the language.

In April, Google Search Console added regex filtering. Google has been listening to user feedback, and one of the most common requests has been to add a negative match option to the filter.

Starting today, both matching and non-matching regex filters are supported by the performance report filter. The option is accessible via a secondary dropdown menu that appears after selecting the “Custom (regex)” option in the filter selector.
